VISION - MISION - PURPOSE -

Our purpose

The purpose of Voices of Influence Australia’s is to assist the promotion and protection of human rights with the emphasis of empowering and educating young people as agents of change.

Our point of difference from other human rights organisations is twofold:

  1. We reconceptualise young people as solutions to existing problems; and

  2. We create spaces and opportunities to enable young people's advocacy, participation and leadership in public discussion and decision-making concerning the protection, promotion and attainment human rights.

Our vision

To promote and protect the human rights of all those within our reach, specifically by fostering meaningful social, economic and political representation of all young people in dialogue and advocacy relating to human rights.

Our mision

To encourage the masses who are passive individual consciences into being active, collective voices for the promotion, attainment and protection of human rights by:

  • Educating people living in Australia and globally on the need and essential purposes; of advancing human rights, peace and transitional justice;

  • Fostering collaborations that inspire action on human rights;

  • Creating safe spaces for young people to learn, share, question and lead;

  • Empowering young people to be agents for positive change; and

  • Improving youth participation in democratic spaces.
