Voices of Influence Australia's priority is the education and promotion of human rights. Specifically, building awareness of rights and freedoms across the community and encouraging a culture of respect and responsibility that values human dignity. The order of the following goals and goal objectives are not representative of any greater or lesser significance.

Protecting human rights and freedoms

1.1 To assist in community processes that will meet the needs of people who are suffering from abuses of human rights.

1.2 To educate people living in Australia and globally in the essential purposes of human rights.

1.3 To conduct research into the causes of social injustice and to advocate for actions that will address the problems identified.

1.4 To establish and maintain groups of persons throughout Australia who will actively assist in the furtherance of these objectives.

Youth advocacyaaaaa

3.1 Effective reach in the general community and young people with relevant and useful information about human rights.

3.2 Public awareness and debate about human rights issues increases through our communications and online presence.

3.3 Develop strong, sustainable and pragmatic relationships with community organisations and other key stakeholders.

3.4 Increased capacity to apply human rights through our education cooperation activities.

3.5 Impact through our submissions to the Australian Government, Australian and international NGOs and the United Nations, on human rights related issues.

Collaboration and solidarity with community

5.1 Strengthen the social sense of caring for others for the common good.

5.2 Inspire community solidarity, a sense of belonging and connection using community building initiatives.

5.3 Integrate and connect young people from marginalised backgrounds.

5.4 Work collaboratively to identify and dismantle structural barriers to equality for Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

YOUTH REPRESENTATION

4.1 Inspire and empower youth to partake in public advocacy and debates as it relates to human rights. 

4.2 Target systemic issues affecting the wellbeing of young people and ensuring their full participation in the decision-making that impacts their lives.

4.2 Increase recognition that young people are experts in their own experience, and their views are essential to solving the challenges for young people and their communities.

Access to knowledge

6.1 Work to dismantle barriers that prevent young people and marginalised communities from participating in discussions of human rights and political issues.

6.2 Educate the community on the language and terminology used within the human rights field, to foster a greater understanding of role of governments, national human rights commissions and of the operation of domestic and international law.
