  • IBA War Crimes Committee Conference: Pursuing Justice in a World on Fire - The Hague, Netherlands

    Voices of Influence Australia is humbled to be represented by our Founder at the Hague and included to participated in the International Bar Associations 2023 War Crimes Committee Conference. This year, the conference themes include:

    • Masters of Invention: Innovations in international criminal accountability

    • On the Frontlines of Justice: Women in Iran and Afghanistan

    • Equality of Arms in the Practice of International Criminal Law

  • UN HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL FORUM ON HUMAN RIGHTS, DEMOCRACY AND RULE OF LAW 2022

    Voices of Influence Australia is proud to be represented by our Founder, Alice Langton, at the fourth session of the United Nations Human Rights Council Forum on Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law, held on 24 and 25 November 2022.

    In accordance with Human Rights Council resolution 46/4, adopted on 23 March 2021 the theme of the fourth session of the Forum is “Strengthening democracies to build back better: challenges and opportunities”.

    Voices of Influence Australia’s participation will consist of engagement with sessions of developing stronger institutions, fostering trust in government, as well as social cohesion and community-led resilience and response.

  • GENEVA HUMAN RIGHTS PLATFORM annual conference 2022

    Voices of Influence Australia is proud to have been a partner of the Geneva Human Rights Platform 2022 Annual Conference. Our Founder (Alice Langton, Left), and CEO (Taylah Spirovski, Right) were privileged to attend in Geneva, Switzerland this year.

    The 2022 Annual Conference of the Geneva Human Rights Platform addressed the issue of digital connectivity in the field of human rights via an expert meeting in the morning and a public discussion in the afternoon.

    Discussions notably looked at digital connections by and among mechanisms within the human rights system, but also at the substantive impacts of digitalization.

  • UN Women NGO-CSW 66 2022

    Voices of Influence Australia was delighted to host an event as part of the NGO CSW 66. NGO CSW New York organises the civil society side of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW).

    The NGO CSW Forum runs parallel to the official session taking place at the UN Headquarters. This provides civil society the opportunity to engage in the processes and CSW sessions.

    The purpose of this event was to address how local communities in the Pacific can structure disaster relief programs to account for the unique challenges that women and girls face.

  • ISACA INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY 2022

    Technology has completely transformed the means by which human rights are both exercised and violated across the globe.

    Voices of Influence Australia presented a panel discussing legal rights online, including recent amendments to online safety legislation and revenge porn. It also unpacked the interface of social media and far-right extremism. Lastly, how we can actively contribute to the conversation and foster safe and respectful spaces in the digital sphere.

  • UN WOMEN INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY LUNCHEON

    The 2022 International Women’s Day theme, Changing Climates: Equality today for a sustainable tomorrow – was a theme that recognised the contribution of women and girls around the world, who are working to change the climate of gender equality and build a sustainable future.

    Voices of Influence Australia attended UN Women’s 2022 Luncheon to celebrate the importance of women’s leadership in the fight for gender-responsive climate action.
